My Top Ten List of things you didn't know you could do on a cruise.

We all know cruising is becoming a more and more attractive option, especially cruises from the UK without the worry of flights. Many more people are looking at cruising as a viable option for their family holiday but there are still loads of activities and entertainment that a cruise ship offers that most people don't even know about.
Here's my top ten list of things you didn't know a cruise ship offered.
Did you know many Carnival ships offer amazing kids facilities onboard such as a rope bridge walk on the top deck?

Lets hope you have a head for heights as almost all of Royal Caribbeans ships come equipped with rock climbing walls. That's right, rock climbing at sea!

Did you know you don't have to travel as part of a group. If you book a cruise onboard the NCL Epic they have specially designed single cabins with an area outside where the single passengers can mingle on their own. And no, as one passenger once asked me you can't go down to the singles lounge once your wife is asleep.

Did you know you could get married at sea? Be careful though as some cruise lines who advertise weddings at sea only really do blessings, you still need a civil ceremony on land to make it legal. At last count the cruise lines offering real weddings onboard were....
Carnival;
MSC;
NCL, (in selected ports)
P&O and Princess.

Are you a fan of Dancing on Ice? Did you know all the big Royal Caribbean ships have ice skating rinks onboard and on selected cruise ships, (the Oasis, Allure and Liberty I think), they put on ice shows based on Dreamworks characters. This picture is from a production of How to train your Dragon on ice.

I've wrote about this before but did you know the likes of Cunard, Celebrity and Crystal cruises offer their guests a pillow menu with the choice of , (sometimes), dozens of different types of pillows.

Another good activity for all the family. Did you know Royal Caribbeans ships come equipped with a mini golf course? Mini golf at Sea - brilliant!

If you've ever done a cruise before you've probably noticed the speciality dining restaurants some cruise lines have onboard. They're normally named after and designed by a famous Michelin starred chef. But did you know that quite often these restaurants will provide cooking lessons for you during the day?

You've probably seen the spas and fitness centres on board a cruise ship before but did you know several of the larger cruise lines have started offering Botex treatments at sea?

You'll be happy to know I've never actually done one but did you know a company called Ewaterways organises annual nudist cruises in Croatia? Or closer to home did you know the Independence of the Seas has a topless sun bathing deck called the San Tropez deck?

Happy cruising
