How to get a free cruise ship cabin

It might seem a bit drastic to some but these sailors have stumbled on the perfect way of netting themselves a free cabin on a cruise ship..............

On the 04th May this month Holland Americas Nieuw Amsterdam rescued two sailors after receiving a Mayday call from the Rescue Coordination Centre at Norfolk VA.
The sailing yacht Embla had become disabled and was adrift at sea.
The Captain of the Nieuw Amsterdam immediately diverted the ship from it's course to rescue the two sailors.
Following a quick security check two men were rescued from the sailboat. I mention this fact to point out to guests that whilst it's the golden rule of the sea to rescue anyone in need the ships crew always put the guests need first and wouldn't allow anyone on the ship before making sure there is no danger to their guests or crew.

When this all occurred the ship was about 600 miles east of Bermuda on it's transatlantic crossing, (coming back to Europe). The two rescued sailors will be onboard until the Azores where they will disembark.

Well done Holland America and all the crew involved in this rescue!

Happy cruising
