For that reason, (as we were being hurried around them a little), some of these posts about the different ships may not be as detailed as they always are and some of the pictures might not be the best in the world. They will however, (I hope), give you a taste of what each ship is like and let you judge the 'personality' of each ship.
So, on to the AmaDante operated by both AMA waterways and APT river cruises..................
The AmaDante was probably one of my favourite ships of the day. Again it was another 5* river cruise ship but this time it was a nice mix of both the traditional and modern giving a very comfortable but elegant feel to life onboard.
As you can see whilst the main lounge is still elegant and 'classical' the seats were all very comfortable; I'd have been happy spending an afternoon or two in here.
Some of these pictures will give be great in giving you an idea of what a river cruise ship will look like at Christmas.
Bless the crew of the AmaDante though; these decorations weren't up on the previous cruise and after we'd viewed it they were putting her in dry dock till the next cruise season so they had put all these decorations up just for us to view the ship at her best.
This was the main reception and peoples first view of the ship - Not sure about the 'picture' behind the desk though. What do you think of it?
As I said, I really liked the dining area, it's a great mix of comfort and elegance that I think really works in the AmaDantes favour.
This is the beauty salon onboard. I never use them, (I'm beautiful enough as it is), but it's still nice to know they're there for anyone that wants that little bit of extra pampering.
Some more shots of the main lounge.
These photos were of another room at the back of the ship where you can head for a bit of piece and quiet with a book and a cup of tea and coffee in the afternoon.
This is the gym onboard, (there were more pictures of the cycling and running equipment but they didn't really come out), and as you can see the AmaDante comes equipped with a sauna to relax in.
The sun deck, (you can just see in the background some canopies to shade you from the sun in the summer months.
A video of the outside cabins on the AmaDante
A video of a balcony cabin on the AmaDante, (it's a French balcony).
An example of a suite on the AmaDante, (again with a French balcony).
So what do you think of the AMaDante, (I know my pictures don't do her justice), have you been on before? Did you enjoy your cruise? Let everyone know what you thought of her here.
Happy, (river), cruising
