Continuing my series of blogs on luxury cruise lines I'm today asking the question;
'Have you ever sailed with Silver Sea? If not, why not?'
Silver Sea always seem to get left out when people make a list of the top six star cruise lines which can be a bit of mistake as this cruise line has a lot to offer that other six star cruise lines don't.
1. It goes without saying, like all good cruise lines, the service will be of six star quality, with all members of staff bending over backwards to make sure you're happy and the food and entertainment being second to none.
2. Like most six star cruises all the drinks are all inclusive, ship wide.
3. Each cabin will have it's own private Butler, even the inside cabins! Upon arrival he will welcome you onboard with chilled champagne; present a selection of bathroom amenities; offer you a choice of pillows from the pillow menu; explain the in-suite entertainment controls; unpack your luggage, hang clothing and set out any personal items; stock and chill your preferred beverages in your suites refrigerator; make any onboard dinner reservations that you want and arrange any private fitness sessions that you want. Show me another cruise line that does that! And thats just at checking in, he's also there on hand throughout the cruise for whatever you may need.
4. Silver sea offer much smaller ships than most of their competitors so they really can get into some of the smaller, more exclusive ports that other can't.
5. Rather than the normal five, because of the size of their ships silver Sea are able to offer cruises to all seven continents.
6. The company is still family owned, by the Lefebvres, which, in an age of corporate ownership, they claim provides for much more dedicated and enthusiastic staff.
7. Even though it's a fleet of small ships they have one of the highest space per guest ratios in the cruising industry, meaning you never feel cramped or hemmed in on one of their ships.
8. All of the Silver Sea ships have a guest to staff ratio of nearly one-one, so the service is always friendly.
9. All gratuities are included in the price of the cruise so, combined with the all inclusive drinks, you wont have anything to pay whilst you're onboard.
10. Silver Sea will provide a round trip transportation from the pier to the heart of town, complimentary, in most ports of call.
As you can see there are plenty of reasons to book Silver Sea, the big reason being the personal butler. Have any of my readers ever tried Silver Sea? Was the service as good as it sounds?
Happy Cruising
