I've just found out today that they will also be offering discounts off the price of the cruise for those of you aged over 55, although it's important to note that the two offers aren't combinable, you need to pick which one you want at the time of booking.
Sailing the Fjords from Southampton on the MSC Opera for 8 nights on the:
27th May 2011, 04th, 12th, 20th, and the 28th June 2011
Southampton - Amsterdam - Oslo - Stavanger - Flaam - Bergen - Southampton
Standard Fares
Inside £612pp
Outside £882pp Balcony £1152pp
Senior Fares
Inside £522pp
Outside £792pp
Balcony 1062pp
As you can see from the prices if you are over 55 it’s a great deal but at the risk of starting an 'ageist' what do you think? Is it fair that 'senior citizens' should be able to cruise cheaper?
And more to the point; what do people think of being called senior at the age of 55?
Happy cruising
HI
ReplyDeleteI DONT REALLY CARE BEING CALLED A SENIOR AT 55 IF I GET CHEAP HOLIDAY DEALS, HOWEVER ALTHOUGH IT ALWAYS ASKS ARE YOU A SENIOR I DONT NOTICE A PRICE DROP
I am 60 and I don't see a price drop would be nice to have a cheaper cruise
ReplyDeleteBetter make a research online, list down some cruise rates from different cruise companies. Compare and see which of them have much cheaper tickets.
ReplyDeleteAnd also check for their hidden rates, so that you won't be surprise of the other fees on board.
If you wish to enjoy the beautiful sights that this world has to offer, traveling at a cruise ship would make your dreams come true at a price you can surely afford.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad it was useful to me. Thanks for your work
