It’s that time of year again folks, when all self respecting men put dignity to one side and play dress up in the blazing sun, (thank God), to take part in the annual Studley Wheelbarrow Race.
This years charity is Help for Heroes.
Anyone aged 18 or over can take part in the race, which follows a path taking in 11 pubs in Studley, drinking half a pint in each.
Participants push their wheelbarrows, starting off at The Bell, before moving on to The Barley Mow, The Shakespeare, The Nag's Head, The Swan, The Railway Inn, The Jubilee, The Needlemaker's, The Royal Oak, The Little Lark and the Conservative Club, before returning full circle to The Bell.
Entrants need to gather a sponsorship of at least £20 to take part, and wear fancy dress making quite a scene as they race around Studley.
So if anyone has driven through Studley today and thought to themselves, ‘what the hells going on?’
Don’t worry we haven’t all lost our minds, it’s all for charity.
Sunday drinking with work in the morning…….. gotta love it. Ah well it’s all for a good cause.
Happy Cruising
Have a great time James!
