Just 11 days left….

Merry Christmas all. Nearly down to single digits now, are you all ‘feeling’ the Christmas spirit? Let’s see if todays advent treat will help.

Did you Know?
Rudolph is a girl. Yep that’s right; you heard it here first. Despite ‘his’ name Rudolph is most definitely the female of the species. In fact so are all of Santas reindeer. Surprised?
Reindeer, (or caribou) are the only species of deer in which both the males and females grow antlers. They both grow them in the late summer, (according to the Alaska department of fish and game), however male reindeers drop their antlers around mid winter, usually mid November to early December, far to early for all of Santas reindeer to be male though. The females however tend to keep their antlers till late spring when they give birth.
Therefore, according to every Christmas card/movie/picture/story I’ve ever seen/heard/read all of Santas reindeer must be female, just with male names.
Hmmmmm, something strange’s going on up at the North Pole me thinks.

Strange but true.
