Only two sleeps left till Christmas now! It's getting exciting!
Todays Christmas Advent blog will be in honour of the weather we've had over the last few days. Hopefully you might find it useful.
How to Build the Perfect Snowman.
1. Make as big a snowball as you can whilst compacting it down as hard as you can.
2. Roll it across the ground, picking up snow as it goes. Be careful here, if you treat it too gently the snow will just fall off. If you're too firm it will break up in your hands. This ball will form the base of the snowman so try too make it tubular rather than round.
3. Next is the head. Repeat the above instructions, but make sure you mould it into a more spherical shape.
4. Smooth off flat the top of the body and the bottom off the head, then after, carefully, placing the head pack a little snow around the joint to keep it in place.
5. Smooth off the snowmans body and head to get rid of any lumps, bumps or loose snow. If you can take the cold do this without your gloves on as the heat from your hands will melt the top layer of snow giving it a smoother appearance and when the temperature drops again, (overnight), it will make the snowman last that little bit longer.
6. Now comes the decorative part. Traditional you want a carrot nose, coal for eyes mouth and buttons and an old scarf and top hat for clothes. There aren't that many people these days that can easily lay their hands on coal and top hats so for this step just get as creative as you can. For that authentic Jeremy Kyle look try replacing the top hat with a Burberry cap and the scarf with a fake gold chain.
Enjoy
