Update about Kosher dining at sea

Don't worry I'm not going to be getting up on my soapbox today about the standards of Halal and Kosher food at sea again. For a change it's actually some good news I'm sharing regarding this little pet hate of mine.
We had a rep in from Crystal Cruises  the other day talking to us about Crystal cruises, (duh). Just chatting to him it turns out Crystal have been doing Kosher food at sea for awhile now, and unlike most other cruise lines doing it well.

It's important to note it's only Kosher 'style' food rather than real Kosher food.
A quick check with a Jewish friend of mine and it turns out this means it's not blessed by a Rabbi, which means that it isn't 'real' Kosher food but would depend on how strict the person was in their faith. Obviously there are still plenty of vegetarian and fish dishes to be enjoyed as well if that was a problem.
Interestingly on Crystals world cruises they do bring a Rabbi along with them to bless the food, (nice work if you can get it I suppose), which means if you book a world cruise or a sector of a world cruise you can enjoy a full Kosher diet.
All the food is prepared in a specially equipped Kosher kitchen and prepared fresh, (the only other cruise line to do this is Celebrity on some of their ships), meaning you don't end up with a horrible microwaved meal on your six star cruise.
All of this might go to explain why some 70% of Crystals clients are Jewish.  So at last count that's two cruise lines now offering fresh kosher food, Celebrity and Crystal, rather than pre packed ready meals.
Have any of my readers heard about any others?

Happy Cruising
